This is not possible as MediaMonkey is not able to act as server. There are already several requests on the wishlist for support for these types of devices.

If you rename the Artist field the Album Artist field will be updated only if it had the same value as the Artist field. This is the case with you. There is no way around it then to update the Album Artist afterwards to Various Artists. There shouldn't be a difference between Various, VA or Various ...

In which file format are these free iTunes files. I assume they are in the iTunes AAC format which can't be converted by MediaMonkey at this point. I believe that MediaMonkey 3.0 will be able to this.

I don't know about the script, but when you store album art in the tags you store the image in each song. If you have big images and a lot of songs you can significantly increase the size of your music library (mine is several gigabytes bigger). So the smaller size rational would be to save space. I...

Well the Scripts and Components forum was the correct forum to post. The problem is that you need to read a tag that MediaMonkey doesn't read so you will need to create your own software to do this.

So I think it would be easier to reinstall eJukebox and export the data.

You might want to mention which remote you are using.

And yes when you open remote access there are always possible security issues. You want at least something with a password to prevent opening it to the whole world.

First I advice to run through the help and FAQ as it covers many issues related to MediaMonkey. MediaMonkey could mess up a song when tagging. After all a file is modified. But there are no known issues with the current release so I wouldn't worry. In many cases if a file gets damages it is just the...

PS. MediaMonkey doesn't auto-modify/delete album art. Certain actions in MediaMonkey or scripts can modify album art, but MediaMonkey doesn't do so.

MediaMonkey stores the playlists in the database. But more importantly the songs on a playlist are also linked to songs in the database. This has as great advantage that when songs are moved the playlists are updated. Unless you did what you did. You will need to use Locate Moved/Missing tracks to u...
