Topic: Is it worth to maintain a folder structure?

I wonder which is faster if there is any speed difference.

I myself now maintain a folder structure for the same reason as Nebbin, it's a backup of tags in case anything goes wrong with the tags in the files.

PS. Windows Vista is not supported with the MediaMonkey 2.x versions. MediaMonkey 3.0 should support Windows Vista.

Please create a debug log as described in the Bug forum while trying to add these files to the iPod.

Could there be an issue with the length of the filename of the tracks that don't get added?

No it's not part of the tag. MediaMonkey can associate with external images without adding them to the tags. When you download album art you can instead drag & drop an album art to the album art window for the selected tracks in MediaMonkey. This will open a dialog asking how you want to save th...

I assume you are talking about Auto-Tag from Amazon. Yes, just deselect all other fields in the Auto-Tag from Amazon results window leaving only the Album Art checked. You can also try the Google Art Finder script which can be found in the Scripts and Components forum.

If you are able to determine which file causes MediaMonkey to hang you should send it to support at mediamonkey.com so the developers can take a look at this issue.

MediaMonkey is able to play streams from the internet. Unfortunately I have never used it so I can't give any advice on how to do so.

PS. There are several topics on the forum about internet streaming. Doing a search might result in a quicker answer.

MediaMonkey isn't really designed to keep tags in a database for tracks that no longer exist. Trixmoto's advice will work, but you can never delete dead links as all would be lost. I strongly advice to regularly backup your database. You could also look into the virtualCD. You can find more about it...

Check what results Amazon shows, that's what it will change in the tags as well. You can deselect fields if you don't want them to be updated.

I know, I believe that there is a script that can do this. You could hop on over to the Scripts and Components forum to see if one exists.

The current release (2.5.4) doesn't use the latest stable. I don't know about the 2.5.5 release candidates.

And yes you can just drop lame_enc.dll in the MediaMonkey program folder.

The developers indicated earlier today that they are considering a promotion for current MediaMonkey 2.x license holders. But details will be put out when MediaMonkey 3.0 will be released.
