Volume analyzer can't decode audio-files?

Post by Chrown »

Hi, I am having a bit of a trouble. It came after i upgraded to MediaMonkey 2.5.5. Whenever I want to analyze a files volumelevel, it freezes for some time and then tells me that it cant analyze volume and tells that it probably is due to DRM restrictions. But i have no DRM files at all so i dont really understand it. My version 2.4.5 (i think) had no problems!

I have noticed this same thing. It appears that it has to do with the length of the FILENAME for the track being analyzed. I have been able to confirm that filename lengths, including the extension, of 66 characters fail with the message; lengths up to 64 succeed. I would guess that 65 probably also works though I have not confirmed.

Has this already been identified as a bug?

its been found as a bug but no body has come up with any idea why it happens and only mostly the only thing i could find was amount of ram causing it on my system. never thought to look at the name size? since the same songs will get anaylized for me on this xp. its just the win 98 that does not do all the songs, and i know it is having troubles with ram on that system.

but maybe you just fixed it for everyone on these xp computers.

I encounter the same problem, too.
The problem seems to occur when a Japanese characters are included in the file name for me.
The problem doesn't occur if a Japanese characters are removed from the file name.

I confirmed it by 2.5.5 and 3(RC-1).
