Help analyzing tracks volumes

Post by lordphoenix »

Does the "Analyze Volume" feature make all the songs in an album have the same volume, or all of the songs in the library? Because I've analyzed the volumes of all the tracks by clicking on each of my albums individually, but when I play songs from different albums the volume differs wildly.

Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks!!

Analyze Volume analyzes both tracks and album level (album level is optional) for playback you can choose to use track or album volume normalization. See the options under Tools > Options > Volume Leveling to see which is configured on your MediaMonkey.

After changing that to "Track" I'm not noticing a difference :-? Do I need to re-analyze the tracks or something?

I take that back. I think it was just one track where for some reason I couldn't tell a difference, because I can tell a big difference on some other tracks I just tried.

Thank you both for your help :D
