Song restarts from beginning when tag is updated

I'm finding whenever I change a tag a song in MM 3 (3.0.6.1190) the player restarts the song from the beginning.
It happens whether I change the tag through the properties popup, or change it directly from the library view, or change it using the categorize icons in the toolbar.
Is there any way to change this behavior so the song will continue to play instead of starting over? Maybe something in the buffering?

You can try to see if switching output plugins under Tools > Options > Output plug-ins solves the issue.

Thanks. Switching to the "waveOut output v2.0.2a" Output plugin did the trick.
