Adding AIFF files to MM library issues

Adding AIFF files to MM library issues
I just tried to add a 500gig drive of AIFF files to MM. It cataloged all of the files into one grouping of Unknown Artist and Unknown Album. Having to regroup thousands of tracks into albums will be a nightmare. Any way to solve this? All of these albums are in a normal folder structure. Artist followed by folders of albums.

Re: Adding AIFF files to MM library issues
Thank you. If I have the following:
m:\The Cure\Seventeen Seconds\01 A Reflection.aif
Do I use:
<Artist>\<Album>\<Track#>-<Title>
m:\The Cure\Seventeen Seconds\01 A Reflection.aif
Do I use:
<Artist>\<Album>\<Track#>-<Title>
Re: Adding AIFF files to MM library issues
<Artist>\<Album>\<Track#> <Title> as you don't have a - between the track number and the title.

Re: Adding AIFF files to MM library issues
That could make problems. I would better suggest <Artist>\<Album>\<Track#:2> <Title>

What does adding the :2 to the mix do?
Re: Adding AIFF files to MM library issues
It forces to use the first to characters of the filename.

Re: Adding AIFF files to MM library issues
Never mind I see what it does, it eliminates the title from the track number. But now how do I remove the track number from the track title?
Re: Adding AIFF files to MM library issues
Auto-Tag from Filename with <Artist>\<Album>\<Track#:2> <Title> as mask should already do that for you.

Re: Adding AIFF files to MM library issues
Brilliant worked just fine. Now if there is an easier way to grab album art work than clicking on each album and searching for it?
