New user here.
Running MMW on Windows 7 SP1.
I am moving my library from iTunes to MMW and cleaning up the tags in the process.

I have just noticed that number of plays on a track is not staying in the database.
For instance last night I played an album all the way thru.
All tracks had number of plays as 1.
This morning I opened MMW and went to that same album to check something and the number of plays was back to zero.
Also the last played field is blank.
Anyone know what is going on here?
Even iTunes could get that right...

Perhaps you're playing files not in the Library (opened from My Computer in MediaMonkey or from Windows Explorer). Only files that are in the Library will keep track of plays as it's a database value.

That's exactly what it is.
I have been working in the My Computer part of the tree.
Just seems more natural to me when I have to do a bunch of file manipulation.
iTunes made quite a mess of my music.
I'm really liking MMW so far and I can't wait till I get this mess cleaned up and can uninstall iTunes forever.

The Location node in any Collection (like Music) gives you the same folder browsing as My Computer, but works within the Library (thus remembers Play History).
