Track Volume vs Album Volume

Post by Rafalus »

When all tracks in the album got track volume analyzed, Album Volume is updated (same offset volume for all tracks in the album).

Question:
1.) What is the difference between track volume offset vs album volume offset?
2.) When the Player plays track (or tracks) it uses track volume offset or it uses Album Volume offset?

1) Track Volume is how the individual file differs from the set value, whereas with Album volume it is how the full Album differs. This means with Album volume a soft file will remain softer when using Album volume as it preserves the volume differences between files on an Album.
2) Depends on what you select to be used.
