Windows 10 Updates

Post by ifishnc »

First, I want to thank everyone who is involved in the development and maintenance of MM. I love it.
My issue. Every time I do an update of my Windows 10 computers I lose all of my settings as well as the entire database. I have to rescan 86,000 songs on 2 computers. I also have to change all the settings to return to my preferred look. Is there any way to avoid this?

Please see: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... -are-lost/

You may want to try a Portable Install instead.

First thank you for kind words.

It is strange, I updated one PC few days ago from 2004 -> 20H2 and all MM settings were preserved.
As lowlander said it is easily prevented by backing up MM.DB and copy it back after update if it is missing.
See default locations.
