Shortcut for selecting whole albums?

Post by chrisdukes »

Is there a keyboard shortcut to select every track in an album? In the Show Art With Details View, you can click on the Artwork or the empty space just below the album tracks and that will select ALL of the tracks at once. You can also do the same thing by clicking in the empty space of the Summary field.

What's a keyboard shortcut or workaround that can do the same thing?

Thanks!

This applies to MM4 and MM5:

The problem is, you must first mark an album before you can trigger a hotkey, which doesn't exist.
There is nothing faster than ONE click on the artwork to mark all the songs in it.
Or double-click on artwork to transfer all album titles to NOW-Playing.

By the way: You should update your program versions - look at my signature.
And please don't be afraid of beta versions. Hundreds of bugs have already been fixed in it.

Thanks for the reply. My MM4 is updated, but my signature is not. :-D

What do you mean by...

Code: Select all

The problem is, you must first mark an album before you can trigger a hotkey, which doesn't exist.

There is no hotkey.
You must first select an album.

Method 1: ONE click on artwork and all songs of this album will be selected.
Method 2: Double click on artwork - all songs of this album will be selected and at the same time the whole album will be transferred to NowPlaying

I just discovered something weird that could be a possible solution.

While in the Show Art with Details view, if I select a track and click F2, then the text of the field under my cursor is selected/highlighted. Click Tab and all of the tracks for the album are selected. It doesn't work every time though.

Sorry, I cannot confirm this behavior. Neither in MM4 nor in MM5.
