How can I search Mantis for entries containing anywhere a given string e.g. the string "http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... 47#p139347" ? Thanks.

Enter desired search parameters in search box.

Fails there. E.g. searching for http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=27627

fails to find match:

http://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=5146

You're searching for issues in the Synchronization category that are not marked closed (or above), containing that string and reported by you. Which there are no instances of.

Sorry, I included the wrong screenshot.

But that lead me to the real cause: Reporter: user_chrisjj. The reporter of issue of mine was actually Jiri.
