fox news channel had a reporter try this on the tv doing the news.
she took a photo of her self out side some place.
and this guy that runs a web site to expose issues on phones and other items,
found the photo she posted on twitter with in 30 seconds
and in ten minutes he found the street she was on and
went to her in less then 15 minutes
by the time the news was over he was talking to her on the tv she was doing it live.
how did he find her.
the gps code in your smart phone puts a code on all photos you post and
possible documents you post on line with your smart phone.
he just looked at the gps numbers found them on google view and went right to her.
he did this to show it is possible to have thiefs know when your home and
where your at when your not home.
it makes it simple for them to get your stuff when your not home.
they also get your id info from your phone by getting your phone number
from the codes used to send the photo to the web.
it is simple to stop this.
just turn off the gps feature or don't post things online with your smart phone.
