Some artists don't sync last played to MM

I have noticed that a few artists, Paul McCartney and Pearl Jam, never sync the 'last played' back from my iPod to MM. They used to a few weeks ago, but within the last 2 weeks, whenever I play a song from either artist, the last played is not updated after I sync. I have not noticed this with other artists, but I haven't done an exhaustive analysis. I thought it might just be a problem with P's, but Pink Floyd syncs fine. Has anyone seen this before? Has anyone had trouble with last played not syncing from the iPod in general? I have an iPod Classic 80 GB.
