Sorry if this is a duplicate question, but I only found one post on this topic without a resolution to the problem.
I have downloaded some high res FLAC files from HDTracks. Like most PMPs, my Cowon D9 does not play 96khz/24bit FLAC files, but does play 44.1kHz/16bit FLAC files. How can I set a rule in Tools>Synch Device>Configure Device>Auto Conversion to auto-convert my high res 96khz/24bit FLAC files to standard CD quality 44.1kHz/16bit files? I tried to convert from 96khz/24bit FLAC to 44.1kHz/16bit FLAC, but did not see the correct options. Do I need to convert to a different codec?
Thanks in advance!

I have the same issue on an x7. Most of the conversion progrs I've used don't give the flac option. Even the flac front end. I have used cooledit to batch convert if that helps...

If command line doesn't frighten you SOX is THE solution. It's used in quite a lot of software, ranging from "basic" transcoding (Logitech media server, formerly known as Squeezebox server) to full blown DRC-solutions.
