What you are telling him here works except that there doesn't seem to be any provision in MM to monitor this for dupes. So you have to know that the chosen files aren't already on the device, otherwise you end up with what all MM users inevitably seem to end up with - duplications.

But WHY? Why would anyone want to have dupes whether it's done manually automatically or any other way?

Send To > Device does NOT produce duplicates. It just replaces the file under the target path.

Ok so just reading everything that has to be done is to much. Is there any MP3 player that runs MM so I can sync to it normally? Also I have an iPhone. If install the MM App on it can it communicate directly with my MM which is on my LC.

There is no MediaMonkey for iOS (iPhone), just for Android.
