Where do you manually save your artwork? When you've tagged an album, if you go to a single track in it and look in the Properties, does the artwork appear?

the art work will appear. Properties>Album Art>Image Type>Cover (front).

this is no different from what i get if i use Auto-tag. But yet it does not work.

I would suppose the problem lies at the back end, as in how the albumart is embedded into the mp3 tag. Odd ya....

Hi triximoto,
Script looks interesting but getting:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61) in /home/trixmoto/public_html/mm/scripts.php on line 19
Could not connect: Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/tmp/mysql.sock' (61)

On your site I'm afraid. :(

A couple ideas for future versions..

- include the image URL in the mouseover info, so you can easily what web site the image is from

- click the image to open the image (in a new window) in its original context (what google does before you see the full size image) so you can easily any additional info regarding the artist/album/image.

- minimum/max size (ie min 200 wide)

These are all good suggestions, and they will hopefully make it into the next version! :)

New version (2.0) is now available from my website. Changes include...

- Fixed error sometimes occurs when saving file
- Fixed editing query stops tracks been tagged
- Fixed action links not updated in some modes
- Fixed "component already exists" error
- Added hovering over image shows source in tooltip
- Added clicking on image opens search url in new window
- Added new image source "albumart.org"
- Added options to specify minimum and maximum dimensions

The min/max dimensions is not working ideally at the moment. When all the albums have been queried the script loops through the images to pick up any you've re-queued - it is at this point that the dimensions are calculated and then an image that is too big or small is then requeued. This is because the dimensions are not accurate until the image has been downloaded.

@mahoney - I have investigated create an offline mode (and got quite a way into it) but unfortunately it is simply not feasible with this script.

Hey, the script looks great but it's just spitting out an error any time I try to apply the album artwork. The error is:
Error #53 - Microsoft VBScript Runtime error
File not found
File "C:\Program Files\MediaMonkey\Scripts\Auto\BatchArtFinder.vbs", Line 1147, Column: 14

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

That's rather strange. If you open the script file in a text editor there is a line 39 should be...

Code: Select all

Dim Debug : Debug = False
If you change this to...

Code: Select all

Dim Debug : Debug = True
...and rerun the script then you should get a file "BatchArtFinder.vbs.log" created - could you please email me this logfile?

Not much in the log, so I'll just post it here:

Code: Select all
