Where can I download Beta Version 4 of Mediamonkey??? I can only find the official ones....Gingernut63 wrote:@callesoroe
The first step Michael is upgrade to MediaMonkey 4 (use latest Beta/release client) as the current version of MonkeySqueeze works with version 4. Then go to the MonkeySqueeze options page: Tools > Options > MonkeySqueeze and click on the User Guide button and then read the user guide. It contains all the info you need to set up MonkeySqueeze.
The error you mention is indicating an issue with the HTTP port number, read the relevant section in the user guide to help you set it up correctly.
If you are still having problems, feel free to post questions in this topic.
Hope this is helpful

For those people with the Zyxel NAS (in my case NSA210) using LMS Version: 7.5.1 - r30836 here are the folder values that work:
Media monkey Music Folder M:\shared music (where M: is mapped to the default music share on the NAS)
Logitech Media Server Music Folder /i-data/md0/.media/squeezecenter/music/shared music
Media monkey Music Folder M:\shared music (where M: is mapped to the default music share on the NAS)
Logitech Media Server Music Folder /i-data/md0/.media/squeezecenter/music/shared music

@ thetugs
Great! thanks for the info on Zyxel NAS devices.
Could I also get you to supply the HTTP port number and the checkbox settings in the NAS section please. I presume you just used the enable setting and not the Synology setting as well.
When I have all the data I'll add the settings to the next user guide. See basic format below
NAS Device.............Default HTTP Port...NAS Enable...Synology NAS....Comments
ReadyNAS DUO----------9000--------------------Yes-------------No-----------------Settings tested and known to work
Synology-----------------9002--------------------Yes-------------Yes----------------Settings tested and known to work
QNAP---------------------9001--------------------Yes-------------No-----------------Suggested settings only
Zyxel (NSA210)---------????----------------------???--------------???-----------------M:\shared music and /i-data/md0/.media/squeezecenter/music/shared music
Cheers

Hi, forgot to include that detail. I'm using the default port of 9000. NAS selected, Synology not selected.
Also, many thanks to the team for publishing MonkeySqueeze.

@fastnbulbous
If using Vista/Win7, did you run MediaMonkey as an administrator when installing MonkeySqueeze?
Need a little more info if I'm to help any further.
Cheers

Sounds like you haven't configured all the settings on the options page.
Go to the options page at Tools > Options > Player > MonkeySqueeze and follow the instructions and tool tips, or better still, click on the User Guide button, and read through the user guide as it gives you all the info you need to set up MonkeySqueeze.
Oh by the way, as stated on the Addons site, MonkeySqueeze V2.0.0 is designed to best run on MediaMonkey V4. If using V3.25 then I suggest you upgrade to the current release candidate or the official 4.0.1 release (very very soon). http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... =6&t=54426 (last page)
If you are still having issues, don't hesitate to post.
Cheers

Re: MonkeySqueeze V2.0.0
Okay. Unfortunately the install won't work. I get this:
There was a problem querying the database:
Error executing SQL "DROP TRIGGER update_songs_artist":no such trigger:update_songs_artist (1,1)
So now I have no working Media Monkey. I was excited to see someone finally doing this -- Squeezebox used to support a player which I used in the office -- didn't see a point of buying another SB receiver when the computer is connected directly to my NAS. I have music playing in two other rooms and would rather be able to hear the same in the office rather than turn off the other rooms.

Re: MonkeySqueeze V2.0.0
@fastnbulbous
Please answer the following questions:
1. Install won't work - MediaMonkey (MM) or MonkeySqueeze (MS)?
2. Was MM installed in administrator mode?
3. Presumably you installed MS with MM in admin mode?
4. With MS disabled, can you play any music using MM?
5. If you have LMS installed on a NAS, please answer the following:
a). Brand and model of NAS:
b). HTTP port number (Options page):
c). LMS on a Linux NAS Settings (Options page):
>Enable: Yes/No
>Synology NAS: Yes/No
>MM Music Folder:
>LMS Music Folder:
Interesting error, could also be a MediaMonkey problem with the database which will require someone else to provide assistance.
Cheers

Re: MonkeySqueeze V2.0.0
I was talking about the Media Monkey 4 install. I canceled out of the dozen or so db errors, and it finished, and seems to see my library and play music okay. LMS is on my computer, not the NAS. I tried that when I first set them up years ago and it was a nightmare, the QNAP cannot handle LMS. I installed MonkeySqueeze, followed directions in manual setting it up. I can't get it to work. Nothing happens in MM/MS when I play SB.
The only ways it did work was when I went to Media Servers - Logitech Media Server and selected a track from New Music. That caused it to play in both MM and SB. The guide said nothing about that though, and no tracks play when I try to select from Music Folder. Looks like it will also play in sync if I select albums/songs from folders under My Computer on MM too. But not when I use playlists. 99% of the time I use playlists. Do playlists not work with MS? Thanks.
