Windows 10 Pro - 2004 Build 19041.508
Mediamonkey Gold Vers. 4.1.29.1910
Discogs Tagger 5.76

Hi Community,
i import Fields from Discogs into Mediamonkey with the Tagger. But when the Format from Discogs is like "2 x CD/DVD" or "3 x CD/DVD" I get only "CD/DVD" and not the number of CD/DVD. Is this a Bug ?

Thanks
Schmunzel57

Maybe it's not yet implemented. I just found your open threat in the skins section in this forum. I try to ask the devs about this problem.

Thankyou crap_inhuman, hopefully the developers can find a bug or workaround.

No, the release number of the album you try to tag and having problems.
If this is the url of the album : https://www.discogs.com/de/Stone-Sour-H ... se/3978957
This number is the release number: 3978957

You can see this number in the Discogs Tagger window, too.

Example: Aerosmith ‎– A Little South Of Sanity; Cat-Nr. [r798516]
Format: 2 × CD, Album
Tagger: CD, Album

It is not only these Album. It's every Album with more than 1 CD/DVD.

Okay, now i got your problem.

You see in the Tagger window..

Format: CD, Album

That is no bug. The format tag doesn't show the amount of cd's.

But it "could" show the amount. I could add an option to toogle the output.

Hi crap_inhuman,

since 5.77 I get an error message if I'm connected via VPN:

Code: Select all

Error #-2146697211 - msxml6.dll
The system cannot locate the resource specified.

File: "D:\Program Files (x86)\MediaMonkey\Scripts\DiscogsWebTag.vbs", Line: 7336, Column: 3
With 5.76 everything was working fine.
Where can I get the 5.76 version to double check if the issue is not on my machine?

Thanks, cyd

PS: your tagger is my most used add-on! I love it :) Thousand thanks for sharing it with us and your work :)

Hi cyd !

Thank you for your post. I'm glad that the Tagger help you tagging your music files ! :)

Please read the following post from another mediamonkey user using vpn: https://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewt ... 99#p470899

Changing back to 5.76 would not help.

Greetings

Hi crap,

I checked the issue yesterday.
If my VPN was active then the calls "https://www.germanc64.de/mm/oauth/check_new_v2.php" were rejected. I also tried to switch to "Msxml2.ServerXMLHTTP.6.0" for this calls. If I called the URL directly in the internet explorer then I received an error message.

After deactivating VPN I could open in the internet explorer "https://www.germanc64.de/mm/oauth/check_new_v2.php" and the tagger was working.

And today I started MM and guess what: discogs tagger is working in VPN again. Seems that yesterday my VPN blocked germanc64.de for some reasons.
So it was not a problem of the new version :-)

Thank you and kind regards,
Cyd

I tag my music manually, but this is a great auto tagger if you like your tracks in Proper Case.
Proper Case is Discogs standard, which is what I use. I am noticing a shift to Proper Case in Last.fm as well.

In my opinion, Title Case is just a mishmash for music titles.
I am glad to see them moving away from it.
