Headless, PC-less streaming from NAS to AV Receiver - can MM help?

Post by teetime »

I would like to stream my music collection from my Synology NAS to my AV Receiver via DLNA without having to use the TV to select the songs, or having to have my PC running. Can MM help with this. Here are the components I have. Hopefully there is a way to connect some of these to achieve what I want to do.

Synology DS418play NAS on LAN, DLNA Server
Pioneer VX921k Receiver
Roku Ultra on LAN, DLNA Client
WDTV Live Media Player on LAN, DLNA Client
Samsung Android S5 phone that can be repurposed for this

No, MediaMonkey requires the PC to run. You can install it as a Service so you don't need to login to the PC on PC start, but it still requires the PC to run.
