Is there an Idiots Guide to Sharing MM Library?

Post by markolarko »

I have a PC which I use as a server for media around the house.
Wired network with WiFi available.

I want to be able to access MM music on this Media Server from my bedroom PC and I am not sure how this is done.

Is there an idiots guide or help that will help me set this up.

I guess the questions that I need clarification on are:

How do I enable my MM Server to become visible to another PC with MM installed on it?
How do I point my Client PC at the MM Server so I can see and play music over the network?

I know these sound really simple questions but any help or pointers would be gratefully received. Clearly when I started in Computers back in 1969 we didnt have these sorts of problems!!

Any help will make a retired programmer very happy.

Enable Media Sharing under Tools > Options > Media Sharing: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/index. ... ervers/4.0

And then access the Media Server in the Media Servers node of any MediaMonkey installation or through DLNA on whatever other DLNA devices you want to use (called UPnP in MediaMonkey for Android).
