MMA "Classical Period"

I have recently started using MMW and MMA. I decided to put my 200 CDs online. After going through a steep learning curve I got my CDs ripped to mp3 and used MM as the media management system. I really liked its GUI which was the original attraction. After solving lots of problems I found that all my CDs showed up on MMW but some were not visible in MMA.
I found that I could search for the media on MMA and the media was present but did not show up on the main Album screen.
After lots and lots of effort I tracked it down to the Genre field. Any CD's that I ripped that had "Classical Period" in the Genre field failed to show up on Album screen on MMA, all ok on MMW.
This may help others from going through the same pain!!
But can anybody think of a reason that this might happen other than being an ugly bug?

Classical Music is separated in Classical Music in MMA, only Music has options like Albums and Genres on the homescreen.
