MMA crashes when accessing a playlist

Dear all, as soon as i open a playlist in MMA, it crashes immediately.
Its been functioning but it suddenly stopped couple of month ago simply after one the forced updates on android, even w/o synchronizing the device.
all other functions on MMA seem to work.

In a naiv expectation it could help I have updated both MMA and MMW to the recent versions of today. It didn´t.

the andoroid version is 4.1.

could somebody help how to solve that issue?

I see the same on the latest beta.

I experience if I try to start the playlist with the Shuffle All button. If I just select a track for the playlist to start with and let it play in order, it seems to work.

When I try to select a playlist to use as home screen shortcut, the app crashes. I get as far as the playlist selection screen. As soon as I select one, it crashes.

I cant even access the playlist. MMA crashes as soon as i try to open it. the playlist was created and syncronized using MMW.
could somebody of MM gurus tell us, how to solve it?
