Song skips after 10 seconds

I've checked all options and buttons in the app, searched the web and forums for this issue but have only found 1 related post for the desktop version in which it was stated that previews should be disabled.

What I experience is that every song plays about 10 second and then skips to the next one. This goes for all albums and tracks that I have on my phone. All tracks are the FLAC file format, forcing the app to quit or rebooting the phone has no effect on this. At the moment the app is useless to me. Since I could not find related topics nor options in the app, I figured this is a bug.

Phone: Sony Xperia XA2 / LineageOS 16.0 / MM version 1.3.7.0906

I am unable to replicate on Alcatel with LineageOS 15.

Have you tried to Disable "Always respond to Remote buttons" and "Resume Playback on connection" at ⋮ -> Options?

These options have not been enabled to start with in my case. I have restarted my phone a second time since the initial post and -for now- it seems to work as expected again. I'm trying to reproduce this behavior as has happened multiple times in the last few weeks.
