I've noticed that there appears to be a bug in the sorting of Albums and Artists.

If I view by Album, then if any album happens to have a title that is in lower-case, it gets displayed at the very end of the list. In my case, after the albums that begin with "Z".

Same with artists. So, "k.d. lang" appears after "Zubin Mehta".

OK, fine. Since I don't have access to the MM Mantis system, I wasn't aware that the bug was already reported.

It wasn't, Lowlander just added it to the tracker based on your report.
