Re: Can't play FLAC
Eh... It's only 6 albums. I am transcoding them into MP3.
I have bigger issues with MM.

Re: Can't play FLAC
MMA can only play file formats natively supported by the device at the moment. A future version is expected to come with its own codecs.

Now I can't play .WMA files either?
I can't play my .WMA's in Media Monkey either? What's up with this?
They play just fine in MM for Windows. Listening to them now.
Hit PLAY in MMA and it does nothing, not even an error.

MediaMonkey for Android only supports playback of file types natively supported by the phone, it does not provide it's own codecs yet, though it is planned for a future update

Hi
Any idea of a time frame.
I have a lot of ogg files. And I am new to monkey media, and i'm an android user.
I have other players that will play it.

Time frame for what? All versions of Android support ogg and FLAC, so there shouldn't be any problem.KeyzerSuze wrote:Hi

Re: Can't play FLAC
Yes, I was referring to WMA files which are not natively supported by android. FLAC and ogg should play.Peregrine wrote:If that is true then Media Monkey should play FLAC, no?
Does any type of files play on your device, and which? What is the device?

Re: Can't play FLAC
MP3's play.
OGG's play.
FLC's do not and specifically says CODEDC missing.
WMA's just skip with no mention of a missing codec.
Poweramp plays FLC's.
Droid Turbo.

Re: Can't play FLAC
I guess you should generate a debug log. Can't think of a reason why they wouldn't play (FLAC). WMA won't play because android does not support them natively.
