Best way to change sd card

I am looking to get a 128gig to replace my 64. I am wondering the preferred method for MMA. Simply put the new card in and sync or ...
Where's the db and ini stored

last I knew 32mb's was good but any more and people were having trouble the sizes not being seen.

I re-synced when I upgraded to 128Gb. For one thing, with the additional space, I was able to increase the bitrate to 192kbs from 128KBs which I was using because I have about 15K tracks on my tablet.
