Can MediaMonkey normalise volume of all MP3s?

Post by King Mustard »

I have dozens of albums on my phone, consisting of hundreds of MP3s.

I tend to plug my phone into my car, tap Tracks and then 'Shuffle all'.

Some albums (not just individual MP3s themselves) are louder than others.

This means when I'm shuffling all songs, each track can be a different volume, which is annoying.

Is there a way to normalise the playback volume of all MP3s through the app? (not specific MP3s, as I still want MP3s to have their individual quieter and louder moments)

MediaMonkey can Analyze Volume (leaves Audio intact), but this only works if the Player supports this. MediaMonkey can also Level Volume on sync which will level the synced tracks (modifies Audio), but leaves originals intact.

I have the MP3s on my phone and the player is MediaMonkey for Android. No syncing involved.

There is on option in the Options, but this only works if the files have Track Volume in the tags (like Analyze Volume in MMW calculates).
