mp3 issues

Post by Pacman »

I have MediaMonkey 1.3.4.0850 on my Android phones.

I have copied various album's to the SD card from my PC.

The album's contain various MP3's.

All MP3's play successfully on my PC.

I have x4 audio apps on my phone, of which MM is my main player.
However, MM does not play all the MP3's.
The other media players, play all the mp3's.
However due to their lack in certain features, MM remains my main music app.

I by default start with the Folders button and browse to my Audio book or album. I will start the audio experience and select the mp3. It start up with the play window, where you see play\pause\skip back and ahead window. In a split second, the window drops down and disappear. I land on the MM window where I get to choose Folders\Albums\Tracks windows.

The same mp3 that does not play in MM, play's in 2 other media players.

Can you please submit a debug log from About in MMA right after playback fails and reply with the logID here? Sending a copy of the MP3 to Support may also be helpful in discovering why this happens.

Hi Lowlander,

Thank you for your reply.

I have had this issue for a year plus now and because of this, I can never play all my MP3's.
The MP3's work on about 5 other platforms and devices.

Last night, I started digging into this again in total frustration.
I could not get certain MP's to play and then I cracked the issue.

So I start playing a MP3 I know to work without a hassle on MM. As it plays, I browse to a non playing MP3 and select it.
Now it works, so I proceeded to jump start all the non playing MP3's.

I then restarted my phone, to see if this is permanent of a fluke.
After the restart, all MP3's still work.

This morning, cleared cache and killed all running apps. Tested again, and again the MP3's work.

So I am not sure what went wrong, but all is working now.
Thank you
