UPnP support to operate with Philips Streamium products

Post by kuif »

It would be big advance if MediaMonkey will support UPnP protocols
now philips is actively promoting their streamium products.
the media server which is inlcuded in this package is very slow and have no handsome options like mediamonkey (which I use since mid 2003)

Hope the software team can implement this!

Just as a side note:

Microsoft has just released uPnP support on windows update for Windows XP (not sure about other versions of Windows). I also have no clue how that would help kuif or MM.

I'd just like to add an "amen" or "I second that" to adding uPnP support to Media Monkey. That'd be great!

This kinda stuff is the future! I would really like to see MM implement this also... Its a pain having two different applications to manage music (not to mention current media server software isnt up to MM Standards! )

One to think about guys!

Much faster tthan some of the others!

I also would love to see UPnP implemented in a future release. MediaMonkey's outstanding management features integrated with a TwonkyVision like media server would be the killer product for UPnP streamers.

UpnP a Must - Is there any news if MM is working on it?

Post by kuif »

UpnP support will be a must to have for MM to survive as media manager.

Now a days more and more companies coming up with "streamium" products. Still Philips is much more ahead with their product!

Their weak point is their JAVA based software! (See www.streamiumcafe.com)

When MM will have the UpnP support and can act as media server, it will be a wannahave for all streamium users! I know for sure!
