I have written the song language in Custom 1 tag in Properties dialog. But when I search for the language, the results are not right. I have uploaded some tracks. Please check their Custom 1 tag and use the search function. They will not be among the results.
Previously, I used the Comment tag in Properties for writing the song language. Search function worked correctly but not for Custom 1 tag now. It seems the problem is related to the characters for the name but why Comment is OK...

Search function doesn't work for custom tags correctly

Re: Search function doesn't work for custom tags correctly
I cannot reproduce. My steps:
1) scan these files do DB
2) open Music collection - Ctrl+F - write "Georgian" - one track from 1) shows in tracklist, change to "Portugese", the second shows in tracklist.
Do you do something else and do you use last 5.0.2. beta version? Please try menu File - Manage database - check "Rebuild full-text search index".

Re: Search function doesn't work for custom tags correctly
Works for me as well. Could it be that you're doing a contextual search [i.e. just typing the search term in a view] rather than a global search [CTRL-F] in a view that doesn't include the tracks in question?

Is Custom 1 enabled to be searched under Tools > Options > Search?

Re: Search function doesn't work for custom tags correctly
Thank you all! My problem was solved by "Rebuild full text search index" option. I was using contextual search in my Music collection with Custom 1 enabled.
A side question, when it is necessary to rebuild full text search index? Any given time? I had to use that option but you all didn't.

Re: Search function doesn't work for custom tags correctly
Generally you shouldn't need to, but if things don't work as expected it's available to fix the problem within the database itself.
