Drag and drop out of MM5 into another application - IE BPM analysis

In MM4 it was possible to drag and drop a selected file list from MM4 into another application.

I use this for several applications:

For example when processing BPM analysis - by sorting music by empty BPM columns in MM4, selecting the empty BPM file list and dragging over to Mixmeister - Mixmeister would then process the BPM write it to the tag and would be then read back into MM4 with the tag updated with the analysed BPM.

I've tried to drag selected lists out of MM5 when the mouse pointer shows a + as if its going to drop to the selected location but no activity happens, although it will copy an MP3 to the desktop by dragging.
