Web Node / All Music seems to freeze

Post by IanRTaylorUK »

In MMW4 AllMusic.com loads but does not present very well.

In MMW5 AllMusic.com loads and presents a pop-up screen "We value your privacy" and just to the right of the pop-up there is an X with a circle going round and round. Quite difficult to see as it is opaque.

Can't seem to get out of this other than by ending the task using Task Manager.

I have therefore removed this "bookmark". I am not certain whether this was imported from MMW4 or a default.

It would be good to have a less dramatic escape route.

Strange, this 'All Music.com' bookmark has been already removed in course of https://www.ventismedia.com/mantis/view.php?id=17836 -- so I wonder how you re-imported it as the bookmark is currently deleted during MM4 > MM5 update.

EDIT: OK, seeing on your screencast that you renamed it to "All Music" , but MM4 > MM5 update deletes just the 'AllMusic.com' default. That explains.

Thanks for looking into this.

I also note that HD Tracks is mentioned as a problem in Mantis. I added HD Tracks today and (initially) it seems to work OK.

Since users are "allowed" to add bookmarks, then there might be other web sites that cause the system to freeze.

Is there anything that can be done to get the user out of the draconian solution of Ending the MMW5 tasks using Task Manager?

Added a few more sites today - so far they all seem to load OK. About half way thru my list!
