crash several times when for instance the Properties window should close
I had to use the task manager several times since I installed MM5 as the Properties window does not close sometimes, therefore I needed to force close the application. I have 2 different screenshots happening both today. Of course I'll share the pictures with you if you wish.

Nope - it did it again!

Hi,
Close MM and rename Persistent.json and Persistent.json.BCK by adding ! as prefix so that MM create new ones on next start.
If that helps, then please zip both renamed files and attach to Support Ticket.

Re: crash several times when for instance the Properties window should close
Please capture this crash with the debug version of build 2424 and attach the log to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86639

Re: crash several times when for instance the Properties window should close
OK, it crashed. I did not close it yet with the task manager. What do I do now?
Re: crash several times when for instance the Properties window should close
were you capturing it in DebugView? If so SAVE the logfile to a location you will remember. Then you might have to zip it. Create a support ticket and upload the file

i dont know how to do this. this is what i need help with
Re: crash several times when for instance the Properties window should close
Ok .. i am going to assume you have downloaded and installed the newest beta version of MM from Lowlanders link.
In the signature section of this post there are 3 links .. the middle one "Reporting Bugs" section 4b talks about creating a debug log and posting it. I will go over this now.
1) First download DebugView as mentioned. This is a microsoft link so you can feel safe. Once you download DebugView you will need to unzip it to a folder you will remember.
2) Be sure that MM is off. DClick dbgView.exe in the folder you unzipped to from 1. It will start and have a blank screen.
3) Start MM. at this point dbgView window will become very buzy.
4) Now try to get the error to happen. Keep dbgView running while you do this.
5) Once the error occurs you can close MM.
6) File - Save the DebugView window.
7) Close DebugView
Zip the saved log file. for this you should be able to RightClick the file in file explorer. Use Send To and compressed file.
9) Come back to the forum and at the top of the forum page select Support and create a report. Upload the file you zipped.
If you have any problems come back with the number and what the problem is.
Hope this helps
