Hi All,
Apologies if this is covered elsewhere.
I love the way MM5 can sync with MMA on my phone bidirectionally, and I assume if I had multiple phones to sync with it would do that too just as well (i.e. partner's).
However, it seems that syncing with another instance of MM5 on another computer on a network is a lot harder. This seems counterintuitive to me given it is so easy through an android phone. Is there any workaround?
Best wishes,
[REQ] Syncing across devices [#18598]

Re: Syncing across devices
I sync three devices in daily base with one MMW without issues. If you tell a few more details, what is not running well for you, i'm sure there is some help here.
- MMW 5.0.4.2690 (non-portable, shared DB & files) on Windows 2016 # only essential addons # my 24/7 media server
- MMW MMW 5.0.4.2690 (non-portable, shared DB & files) on Windows 10 # playing, testing skins & addons # my desktop app
- MMA Pro (2.0.0.1063) on Android 10, 11, 12 Phones & Tabs # WiFi Sync # playing
- MP3Tag, MP3Diags, MP3DirectCut, IrfanView

The workaround is to use "MM server" : viewforum.php?f=31Marksaunders23 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 07, 2021 8:54 am However, it seems that syncing with another instance of MM5 on another computer on a network is a lot harder. that can be installed on NAS (or also on a PC with windows/linux) and multiple MM5 instances can sync with it (including auto-playlist rules).
Just keep it mind that the "MM server" is rather in "alpha state" and haven't been throughly tested (and used much yet).

Thank you Ludek! I will try that out and thanks for the alpha forewarning - great to know a solution is under development!
