Really miss the all button in folder tree

Post by derkoman »

Hello!
Weirdly one of my favorite parts of MediaMonkey has been for years the "All" button in the folder tree. I throw all my new music in a folder then go through it all at once to not only tag, but to listen to new music. Would it be possible to bring this back?

Select any node in the Media Tree and use the folder with a plus icon to show All files or only the folders content.

To clarify, the icon he's talking about is around the top area of the screen, and it's labeled something like "Display folder content recursively." It toggles whether to show subfolders' content or not, without having to make a weird pseudo "All" node.

I uploaded many addons to MM's addon page, but not all of those were created by me. "By drakinite, Submitted by drakinite" means I made it on my own time. "By Ventis Media, Inc., Submitted by drakinite" means it may have been made by me or another MediaMonkey developer, so instead of crediting/thanking me, please thank the team. You can still ask me for support on any of our addons.

Lowlander & Dypsis are talking about this button, which is only available in the Folders mode.
When toggled on it opens all folders and subfolders that exist below wherever you are positioned to.
If off only the 1st level is displayed.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.

Where is all library?

Post by dtsig »

in mm4 there is an all library node but I do not find that in MM5(rc2). There are still times where I have to find files when they are copied to a watched drive.

Use the folder with + icon at the right top of Filelisting in the toolbar to show all files.

What node in the Media Tree is selected. It doesn't seem available on a drive, but any sub-folder on a drive should show it.

Tools > Options > Collections & Views to enable it.

However Music > Location should work the same for you.
