Is volume leveled per Album or per Track during device sync?

Post by Riegelstriegel »

Hi,

just a quick question: When I enable volume leveling in the sync profile of an external device (or folder), will tracks be leveled per Album if a whole album is synced at once? Or does volume leveling in general work only per track?
If Album leveling should work for device sync, is there a difference between syncing a complete Album at once and syncing different tracks of an album in different sessions?

Thanks in advance! :)

Depends on your setting under Tools > Options > Volume leveling.

Hi Lowlander,

I wasn't aware that this setting was also used for device syncing, sorry. So that does mean that volume will *always* be leveled per album even if only one track of an album is synced or a playlist with random tracks is synced, correct?

When only Syncing some or one file(s) of an Album it should use the Album Level for levelling. If an Album has 1 track the Track and Album Level would be the same.
