You can disable the Info Panel for the Playlist: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... _Displayed

As for the scrolling, you may want to capture this in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643
This may allow the developers to analyze why this works differently for you.

I tried with PlayLists, which I had not tried before. I still see the expected result.
Exactly the same mouse settings as you, and Windows 10 64 bit also.

You haven't got another mouse you could try?

Hopefully they can find what is causing it. It would be annoying in a large panel, but it would completely wreck mouse wheel usage in a small panel like the Column Filter panel.
Want a dark skin for MM5? This is the one that works best for me .. elegant, compact & clear.

Thankyou Lowlander, that's great re the info panel. I will take a look at the debug stuff later. I have health issues which is why its sometimes a few days between posts. Just started on a bad role last night so not really feeling like messing. Will see in a while.
Thanks again!

Barry, I do but its not easy to get to just now. I will leave things now and hope that the development team get round to it from other people having the same problem. If not will give it a try in a week or two.

Quick question: What software do others use for different media? This is an entirely subjective view but I personally cannot understand why so many software companies try to be all things to all people. For example Plex I find excellent at Films and TV (although its UK based TV database could be improved on the rarer stuff) but its useless at Music and Sports. Yet they insists on trying to cover them. Media Monkey is fantastic with music but (again this is just me) poor with music videos. I just tried MM5 re my music video collection. I was unable to pick up 186 despite them being covered by media type. Then, as before with previous versions I found that on average it crashes on every 4th of 5th video you try to play. Its no big deal, I use separate software for each need and just cannot understand why so many companies don't keep to what they are good at.... this make be a biased view after I had to meddle with a relatives PC last night for an hour after they found the CCleaner I keep loaded on there to run to keep things clean has added a new "autoload new drivers" function! Of course they pressed it and it crashed the sound driver so muggins had to look at it. Just stick to what you know and keep and maintain your good reputation......
For the record
I use
Plex: Films and TV
VLC: Sports & TV series not covered by plex
PotPlayer: Music Videos
Mediamonkey: My Music, Music to check out, Spotify
Audiobooks: Smart Audiobook on mobile, Audible & Itunes on PC.

Thanks both for your continued help!

Some users will use 6 different programs, others want everything done in the same program. Managing media in a single program has it's upsides.

What do you mean by that? Did it not scan the files into the Library or are you talking about Auto-Tag not finding metadata on these files?

As for Search you don't mention what the problem is for you.

MediaMonkey 4 can be installed next to MediaMonkey 5 and if updated from MediaMonkey 4 you may still find it installed. Each use their own database (mm.db for MM4 and mm5.db for MM5).
AFAICR I updated from 4 to 5 but there are no traces of MediaMonkey 4 on my computer.

I have now installed MediaMonkey 4 alongside MM 5. I will keep MM 4 as my primary app for the time being while keeping up with the release of new versions of MM 5 and experiment with MM 5.

Also, now I can compare the behaviour in MM 5 with what I'm used to from MM 4 and post things that - from my perspective - are regressions.

Hi,
I meant MM5 failed to scan them despite picking up other music video in the same folder with the same 3 letter extension.
I understand that some would find it more convenient especially if they did not have large collections of each media type. I just find that the "jack of all trade" programs are usually inferior to the specialist ones in one way or another.

Verify in the Entire Library > Location (enable under Tools > Options > Collections & Views) that the files really aren't in the MediaMonkey Library.

If they aren't, please capture the scanning of the files in a debug log (step 4b) and attach the log to a Support Ticket for a developer to analyze: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86643
A copy of a file that fails to scan may also be useful as it may be due to some form of corruption in the file.

I am having many issues with the new version, I have over 1.5 TBs of music in my library, and even though the old version took a while to fully load, this one takes way too much time, and its also very clunky, and slow to load ....and ripping & synching can be problematic as well......I find myself using WMP to sync to my Nokia 5.3....anyway...I use it ( the paid version)...its functional as long as I remember to leave it open...any ideas?.....Thanks, Lou

Which build (Help > About) are you using and what node in the Media Tree are you opening when MediaMonkey starts?

What problems do you have with Sync and Rip?
