Selecting one tune but another tune is playing?

Post by mikehende »

Hey guys, I installed the latest version on a bud's laptop but sometimes when he selects a specific tune, that tune will not play but any other random tune. Might this be a bug and anyone else have this issue please?

It depends, do files grey out when playing them? It could be that the selected file is a Dead Link: https://www.mediamonkey.com/wiki/WebHel ... Dead_Links

Also check the Filename to see if the tags and the filename match. You can also right click, Find More from Same > Folder (Explorer) and play the affected file in a different player to confirm that the right file is playing.

Ok thanks., I will ask the bud to bring the laptop here and leave it with me for a few days so I can do as suggested and will report back, should be by Monday or so.

Also, while I was downloading MM from the site there was a pop-up asking to purchase the Gold version. Far as I can remember last year when I had inquired about the Gold version I was told that is only for Mobile phones, is that still the case or can we both purchase the Gold version for his laptop and my Desktop pc?

MediaMonkey for Windows Gold and MediaMonkey for Android Pro are sold as separate products. However if you have a Windows laptop MediaMonkey for Windows Gold works on both Laptop and Desktop: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... -machines/

Yes, that's for Windows. The Android version is sold through the Google Play/Amazon App store instead.

The bud purchased the Lifetime Gold yesterday, should I simply enter the license in the existing free version and this will unlock all of the features mentioned

https://www.mediamonkey.com/windows#gold

or is there something else I would need to do please?

p.s. no email from mm in his spam folder

You need to enter both the License Username (usually full name) and License Key exactly as provided: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... key-usage/

I know that's exactly what I did. If Keith can get the email from MM then I can try copying and pasting as it is asking.

You can lookup the License online: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/kno ... cense-key/

If that fails you need to contact Support with the Order Number: https://www.mediamonkey.com/support/

To continue with the troubleshooting, there is still some issue with MM. all of a sudden now I am getting an empt white blank screen. If I were to reinstall MM would there be any licensing issues please?

If you haven't yet, please update to build 2422 as it fixes an issue that causes this: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86639&sd=d

You can install it on top of the existing install and the License will be maintained.
