Media Server problem/query.

Media Server problem/query.
Hello
I am successfully running MM5 (5.0.0.2338) for music on my Windows 10 PC, and using the media server to present to my Android Media Monkey client (1.4.3.0950). All files are accesible and play well.
I have asked to program to install the server as a service, and the android client does show 'MediaMonkey Library' on the 'UPnP servers screen' when the main program is closed on the PC. I can browse through the tree structure, but when I get to the final screen where the files should be it shows a 'no content' message.
Am I missing something here!?
Any advice gratefully accepted, thanks.

Re: Media Server problem/query.
I would check that the service is running. Right-click on the taskbar and click on TaskMgr. Click the Services tab at the top and scroll down to MediaMonkey. Is it there? Is it running?

Re: Media Server problem/query.
Thanks for your reply. Yes it is running!
Re: Media Server problem/query.
Does it work when MediaMonkey itself is running (ie. it only fails when running is service)?

Re: Media Server problem/query.
Yes works fine when the main program is open, when it is closed it still shows as available from the app UPnP scan, and it loads the 'template', but on tapping the headings it shows a 'no files' message, (or similar). Thanks.
Re: Media Server problem/query.
Can you confirm this is still the case with build 2424: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=86639&sd=d

Re: Media Server problem/query.
Yes, just the same I'm afraid! I did a clean install of build 2424. Can browse media library whilst program running. Service installed OK. When program is closed, MMA finds the server, clicks through to the various categories, and at the last screen, which should show the files, it is empty. I've also tried with MConnect Player, Hi-Fi cast and Bubble UPnP - all show their own version of 'no content/no library list/folder is empty' etc.
I don't know if this helps, but when asking the service to be installed, it asked for a password for the account - I don't have one so clicked it as blank.
The following message appeared:
[SC] Start Service:Open Service Failed 5:Access is denied.
I checked and the service was installed but not running at that point so I started it manually.
Thanks for your help so far.

No, just log straight in. I am the only user on the machine.
Re: Media Server problem/query.
What happens if you go to SERVICES and click on start ... with mm not running. Does it take?

Re: Media Server problem/query.
I seem to have done it.
I changed Log On from Local System Account to the specific named PC account.
Thanks to all for advice - and I'm sorry if I missed this step earlier on

Re: Media Server problem/query.
The key is that the Service and MediaMonkey use setting per Windows account. So for the Service to behave the same as the setting set in MediaMonkey itself it needs to be run as the same Windows account.
