Hi,
I've go three serious wishes for the internal player for party use:
#1 (optional) Lock playblack of current song.
On a party the music should not be stopped by accident.
When chosen, any command that stops the current track should ask,
if I really want to stop it. It would be perfect if this lock
has an optional password, so that I can let other people touch
MM without having to worry that they stop the playback.
#2. Option to remove all played songs from playlist.
This one is really important, too!
Currently the playlist of the evening grows longer and longer over an evening. This makes very difficult to handle. During the party the playlist is used more like a queue so it would help a lot to get an option that removes a litle from the list when it has been played.
This way I'd have 20 something titles in the list and would only have to check the music whenever necessary
#3. Doubleclick -> Play next!
Currently the internal player has these two options:
Doubleclick: Play now (which stops playback of the current song)
Doubleclick: Play last
Play Next ist only available as Ctrl-Shift-Enter - quite hard to press on a laptop.
Can you add this to the double-click options. (Plus give a second (SHIFT-Doubleclick) option where you could put something else?
and as a bonus wish:
I'd love to define a backup-playlist that get's shuffle-played whenever the main playlist runs out. This way the music wouldn't stop even if the playlist runs out.
That's about it - with these changes MM turns into a party-proof player.

Follow up - Re: Playlist wishes for party use
Just as a follow up: I ran the department christmas party using a laptopBeta Tester wrote: #1 (optional) Lock playblack of current song.

and mediamoney and the lock is really needed. Over the evening
we had like 10 songs that didn't play to the end just because someone
had problems moving songs within the "now playing" window. (On a laptop computer it's very easy to click when you want to drag instead)
So the missing lock feature is the biggest problem for party usage and one that should be easy to improve.
Apart from these problems MM managed our little christmas party
without bigger problems and I might post a longer report when I have the time.

As for now more urgent stuff to be done eg. localization to work. I think that this will not be in next relese but it is on to-do list.
