I am BEGGING you to develop a Mac version !!!!

This iTunes crap is killing my vibe! I can do with, and enjoy, all the Mac apps...but this music thing is owned by Media Monkey.

Get your a$$e$ in gear -- let's go!!!!!!!!! You can do this!!

I really need MM for Mac I have three huge libraries of AAIF music I want to merge and have in one server at home, and the thought of going through all of those files manually to check for duplicates or even triplicates is nauseating ...

please make a MM for Mac !!! please !!!

I have a macbook pro for about 5 months now.
I tried to use several programs to run my cd collection into flac...like i did before with MM on my windows laptop.

I used Xact,Max etc,but none of those programs run like i prefer.(read :MM does it all, taggin and artwork and a proper readable structure).

I run a sonos streamer at home that get's his music from a nas...so i need a goodworkin and EASY program that do ALL things at once.

I have two options :goin back to windows just for using MM or waitin' till MM appears on my mac...

Or make a program that does the same things and put it into i tunes (that i actually don't use at all)

It can't be that hard to help out a lot of people with the same frustrations.

I just need a flac ripper that does the job completely.

Come on!! I've been waiting 3 years! Can we get a kickstarter fundraiser going? Or something to get this off the ground?
It can't be that hard...

I've totally given up on Mac's just because of the lack of music management. After 18 months I'm resigning the Macbook to work only duty (Office 2011 finally meant I could use it for work), but without decent music capability it is pointless for 'fun' stuff. I spent weeks migrating to iTunes before giving up due to the lack of features. I've tried loads of others (Songbird, Miro, Clementine, Amarok, etc.) and all are pretty lame, but all richer than iTunes. I even spent 6 months running MM on the Mac through a Windows Virtual Machine, but it was pretty unstable and crashed the Mac regularly.

So back to a PC for music - and freedom from the lock-in! And also some much improved photo and movie management software (iPhoto and iMovie are pretty terrible too, but at least there are alternatives).

I'm curious why this was unstable. I've used MM under VirtualBox very successfully.

I've had the same frustration for years and keep checking back to see if there's been any progress. http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/postin ... f=4&t=1537#

In the meantime, I desecrate my iMac by firing up Paralells with XP (and yes, bear all the attendant cost) just to use MM.

Surely some time soon? Or is this a case of "Apple would never countenance authorising a better media player than iTunes, so we're not going to bother"?

Here's a thought.. anyone fancy starting a collaborative free/shareware development project for a MacOS equivalent of MM?

For a more lightweight approach you can run a skinless MM under Wine on the Mac http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewto ... tart=99999

Shame there is no proper version of MM for Mac yet. Seems like it will never happen, which shouldn't come as any real surprise. I keep hearing that any real music player/management tool alternative to iTunes hasn't been developed (or ported) for Mac because of the small Mac userbase. Well, I think that's just an excuse. The Linux userbase is smaller than Mac, and there are some fine music players for Linux.

Wish i was a developer, I'd help if I were.

I see a lot of you Mac'ies running virtual machines to run Windows software. Why not just get a PC and not mess with all that? They are cheap and you can can still use your Mac.
