Remember Position in Song on Exit
I play a lot of long DJ mixes. It would be neat if a player actually remembered the position I was in for a mix after I exit the player.
I have to make a .txt file on my desktop to remind me where I was.
"At 64.00 for mix.txt", for example. Windows does not allow a ":" character so that I why I use a period.

I searched for "position in song" and "point in song" in the this forum, but not "bookmark". Does that wish list request include the fact that the user does not have to manually add a bookmark and load a bookmark?
I want it to happen automatically as I am listening to the song and I exit MM. Then later reload it and it resumes from where I left off.

The TweakMonkey scipt can be configured to start playing where you left off when restarting MediaMonkey. You can find this and other scripts in the Scripts and Components forum.

Thanks. I saw the option for "Resume State/Position" but it is not working for me so far. Is it because I have tips shown on start up? Even with Auto Play enabled it keeps reseting back to 0:00.

The TweakMonkey script can do that but it isn't ready for MM3 yet.
However, MM has this built in. It works for genres such as "podcast" and "audiobook" (I think ).

Extensions: ExternalTools, ExtractFields, SongPreviewer, LinkedTracks, CleanImport, and some other scripts (Need Help with Addons > List of All Scripts).

Thanks. Ah, I do not have the Gold version yet, but will this remember exactly where the song was playing on exit, resume and auto play from there when starting MM again?

Looks like I am going to have to get get Gold sooner rather than later or wait for a MM3 compatible version of TweakMonkey.

That has DiddeLeeDoo's Resume Play script which is worth a try.

I tried it, but it resumes playing at 00:00 just like the TweakMonkey script.

Is it possible to set for all the songs and not just for a specific group or filter?nohitter151 wrote:Go to Tools -> Options -> Filters and Views.GargantulaKon wrote:Where is that option for MM3 then? Does it work for .mp3s?
