iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298
The songs themselves are transferred fine but no album artwork is showing on the phone for any tracks.
I presume this will be something to do with the higher resolution retina display version of the artwork?
this is with embedded artwork.
win7, 16bit.
will a debug log help in this instance?

Ah, same happened to me on my iPhone4. Thought it was me being useless!
Still I'm pleased that I don't have to use iTunes anymore, even if it is at the cost of shiny pictures - thanks MM

Re: iPhone 4 Problem - 3.2.2.1298
Yes, it probably is because of different album art resolution for iPhone 4. Since we don't have it here for testing yet, could anyone please:
1. Upload few tracks having some album art to the iPhone using iTunes (some 3-5 having different images would be fine).
2. Get iTunes_Control\Artwork folder (and preferably also iTunes_Control\iTunes\iTunesCDB file) from the device.
3. E-mail it to me (jh at mediamonkey dot com).
As for getting the files from the device, there are various tools, for example Total Commander with http://code.google.com/p/t-pot/ installed plug-in can browse iPhone.
Thanks,
Jiri

Are there any tools that will allow you to get the necessary control files from a non-jailbroken phone? I can't find anything.jiri wrote: As for getting the files from the device, there are various tools, for example Total Commander with http://code.google.com/p/t-pot/ installed plug-in can browse iPhone.
My 3GS does not display the playlists on the iPhone using 3.2.2.1298. It shows up in the browser, but when I expand the playlists it just hourglasses away. My iPhone is not jailbroken, I have Windows 7 with 2GB of RAM on an Inspiron 11z. I want to be helpful, but not at the expense of messing that much with my phone. Please let me know how I can help.

Re: iPhone 4 Problem - 3.2.2.1298
I decided to let it cook away for awhile and got the message that "MM appears to be broken." I sent the debug log per the instructions on the popup window and it went into some sort of infinite loop, refreshing the popup constantly and not allowing me to dismiss it. I eventually had to cancel MM to get things to calm down.rah1420 wrote:My 3GS does not display the playlists on the iPhone using 3.2.2.1298. One more thought: Do I have to upgrade to iOS 4.01? I have not done that yet.

Hey guys my phone seems to sync but theres only "ghost" files ( files that look like they're on it but arent, when you look on the phone and when you try to play it through media monkey. media monkey shows the tracks but cant play them.... ) Also it doesnt show the "syncing" screen

To keep this easier for the devs can we start a new thread for each different issue? There's now 3 separate issues in this thread...

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298
MaFT, thanks for the files, based on them I created a testing version of the plug-in that can be downloaded here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/d_iPhone.dll
To clarify, this dll has to be copied to MM 3.2.2 (no earlier!) installation (its Plugins folder, to be exact) and then album art on iPhone 4 should start working. Start with a clean device, to be sure.
Thanks for testing!

rah1420,
based on your description, I suppose that there might be problem in the fact that you tried to do several things at once, at synchronize tracks to iPhone, while browsing the device. While technically possible, sometimes things can be slower in order to do all the operations required by iPhone. Can you confirm the exact steps?
Spik31-31,
can you consistently reproduce your problem? With a clean device? What exact versions and device type do you use?

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298
Just checked this, cleaned out mp3s on my iPhone 4, added a few songs with album art. Seems to work fine while playing songs, & looking at albums by going to artists then choosing an artist etc. looks a bit perculiar when you go to artists > all albums though (see pic below). Thanks for the work on this, it's much appreciatedjiri wrote:MaFT, thanks for the files, based on them I created a testing version of the plug-in that can be downloaded here: http://www.mediamonkey.com/beta/d_iPhone.dll

Re: iPhone 4 Artwork Problem - 3.2.2.1298
I too seem to be having success on my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.0.1) syncing aprox 2500 mp3s (converting all more than 128kbps to 128). So far, the only issue I am having is that described by "Zoe" in regrads to the thubmnail view off the album art.
I will continue to test and report back.
Thanks
