Release 1365 & 1367 - MP3 Album art is not normally showing up on my Sony KDL 46EX710 TV. I say not normally because it does show up for 1 album. The only thing that appears to be different about this album is that the cover art is tiny in file size - only 12kb (same pixel size and file format as the other cover art, just that its all black with some white text so very small file size - the others vary in size from 100kb to about 600kb). Is this a MediaMonkey DLNA problem or is there something I need to set up differently ?

I'd say MediaMonkey as my Sony TV does show art when connected to TwonkyServer.

Hi,

I downloaded mm4 today to test functionality when connecting to ps3. Tried for hours and searched forums and basically couldn't get server to show up on ps3. I have ps media server and it shows up upon startup of program. Computer is cable linked to router and ps3 is connected to router via wifi. I went into media share settings and added a monkey media server and also enable DLNA settings and tried various combinations. Each time I did I went and selected search for media servers on ps3 but to no avail.

I also went into router settings and fiddled with port settings as per help info. Again to no avail. Can anyone please enlighten me as to how to get ps3 to link to mm4 media server in order to play music and video that is stored on pc, on ps3 over wifi.

Thanks in advance

Hi nohitter,

Still doesn't find it after trying all sorts of attempts. I am wondering if I am missing something. I have the "Enable media sharing (UPnp/DLNA)" box ticked. Added a share - Enabled is ticked - Server Name is MediaMonkey Server - IP Port assigned - Status "Running". Computer is ethernet cable linked to router and ps3 is connected to router via wifi. I go to PS3 XMB and under the likes of music icon I select "Search for media serves". After searching it returns "no media servers found". I can however run PS3 Media Server and find it no worries.

Ultimately I want to test it to see if I can control mm4 on computer and have it output at PS3. Is this possible (when you have a connection of course) or are you still limited to the laborious task of using PS3 folder by folder XMB drill down to find and play music and mmserver merely enabling access similar to ps3 media server. If it is possible to use mm4 and have the power of it with regards to UI and library then I will endeavor to make this option work as it would be the best for me. Basically I want to digital out at the location of my PS3 into a DAC and then Tube amp but want to have full access to music and usage of mm4 though on a computer located in another room. End aim is to be able to control mm4 with iphone, like you can with mm3 and monkeytunes, and have hifi music in the lounge at the location of amp. Any news on apple remote working on mm4 like it does on mm3 with monkeytunes?

If I can't do this then the next option is kitting up a small computer with a solid state hard drive (reduce noise) with a digital out at the location of the dac and amp system and merely run mm on start up on this machine and control with iPhone (no need to view mm on screen - but still have option on TV if need be). Have it access media library and enjoy tunes at the tip of my fingers. If I can do this with PS3 it will save me plenty.

Thanks for your help
Would love to at least get it connected to see how mm4 and PS3 work together.

Cheers,
Plantman

And you actually went into the share options and selected some collections/playlists to share?

No, you need to navigate the collections/playlists with the PS3 and select what to play (works great with playlists). You don't simply output sound from MM to the PS3.

I got the connection sorted. I had to go into "control panel" "windows firewall" and add monkeymedia program to exceptions. This might be something the developers will likely make automatic on final build.

And yep as I was guessing it's not going to give me the solution I am after. Looks like I'll have to go with the small pc at amp location.

Thanks for your help

Does anyone know anything about this issue?
It says that it is resolved, but at the same time it states that it is fixed in v4.1, which is nowhere near done as far as I can understand?

Ludek states in the last note that it IS implemented in build 1600, but that build also seems far far away?

Does anyone have any insider knowledge on this one they want to share? (:

That is what it means. It is implemented in 4.1 which has no timeline yet.

Well it seems fairly wrong to consider it "resolved" by now then, don't you think?
You might be right, but I don't see why that is obvious.

Well, then how would he know that it is implemented in build 1600? Is there a specific pattern they follow there?
The only pattern I can see is that they increment by one every time they release a new build. And as I see we are only at 14XX?

Doesn't really matter does it? It will be in 4.1 and that is what is stated.

Well, in the case of my question I consider it relatively significant.
I really don't like your attitude. If you can't answer my questions, please just don't (:

Again, you might be right, but there are different ways of telling it..

EDIT: To add a little info I know that the issue i linked to has been on that page for a long time, but it hasn't always been "resolved". On the same note is it quiet new that Ludek wrote that it IS implemented in build 1600, why I assumed that there had to be some news regarding the issue.
