Last.fm stops scrobbling after stopping/resuming later [OLD]

Having this issue up as far as 1431, upgrading to 1432 as we speak so I'll keep you posted.

Anyways, I dont know about anybody else but I leave MM on all the time, not exactly short for memory with 16 gigs. If I stop playing for a while and resume later on, usually hours in between and sometimes with the computer having been in sleep mode (not sure if thats the cause) last.fm doesn't scrobble at all and I have to restart MM to get it to work. I'll try and get a debug log up as soon as I can.

Which scrobbler version?

I can't reproduce here, with often leaving MediaMonkey open for days with multiple times having the computer go to sleep and Pause/Resume playback.

I know it ends in 29, its whatever is listed with the latest builds, or was earlier this weekend before I headed out of town. Still need to get that debug log taken care of, I'll try and get on it tomorrow.

Still experiencing this issue and its no less annoying. Just upgraded to 1446 but was still present as of 1445.

Again, basically when I open MM and start playing, it scrobbles fine. When I stop and then leave it for however long, could be a few hours, could be a day, and when I resume playing, it doesn't scrobble and I have to restart MM to make it work.

I experience a similar thing with last.fm scrobbling. I am connected to the internet via a wireless connection that drops out every now and then. If that dropout occurs while MM is playing a song, then no more songs will be scrobbled, even after the internet connection comes back up.

So maybe this issue is related to the internet connection dropping out at some point in the hours/days between playing songs, rather than the actual amount of time between playing songs.

About to install RC-5, but using 1458 at time of posting and still having this issue. Have formatted as well, so I really dont know what may be causing this problem, but its pretty annoying.

Again just to clarify, I start MM, play stuff and it scrobbles fine. I hit stop, do whatever and come back and resume playing later, nothing scrobbles and I have to restart MM.

sigh, I hadn't had this issue any more since I installed the new release, but its still there, but the symptoms are a bit different. I had a playlist going, and I paused to pick up the guitar and practice a bit of the song, and nothing after I resumed playing scrobbled, I stopped for a while and let another playlist play as well while playing BF3 later and none of that scrobbled either.

In my case, with the last MM-build and the latest Last.fm-plugin, it simply stops scrobbling (often as soon as after only two songs) and doesn't resume unless I close MM and restart. The log shows those few submissions and simply nothing else, so no exclusion etc.

I think I've found what causes the Last.fm-plugin to stop working. It seems to occur whenever I launch a full-screen application.

Same problem here, last.fm simply stops doing scrobbling at some point. I'll check that hint with the full-screen application and report back.

Yep, I can confirm this behaviour, last.fm scrobbled just fine until I closed and then re-opened a full-screen running MusicIP Mixer. I hope the devs sare reading this, even though the beta forum is temporarily closed.

What do you mean a "full-screen" application?

A application that uses the full screen when started. In my case mostly Angry Birds (the pc-version, obviously). ;-)

Can anybody else confirm this? What should we do now?

Maybe a debug log and the last.fm log send to support helps as I can't reproduce this either: http://www.mediamonkey.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=69
