RC 1688 crashes after startup.

I am using 4.1.0.1688 RC on Win8.1. For some RC's I have the problem that MM just disappears shortly after starting. It starts to scan my watched folders after startup and somewhere in the middle it just disappears. With earlier releases it was just possible to go back to build 1668 and that one worked again. Now 1688 told me that it updated my library to the new format and now going back to 1668 does not help anymore.
