96 Khz crackles

I thought I would report this minor niggle.

In all versions of MM to date there is a small problem with 24 bit 96k files. They play absolutely fine but if you change tracks or move backwards or forwards in the track there is a short crackle. 24 bit 44.1 files are fine so it seems to be the frequency.

I could not replicate, it sounds like Sound card output buffered was not fully cleared. Have you tried to reinstall latest Sound Card chipset driver?

Yes I suppose that is possible. Maybe time for a new sound card.

I do not thing it is hardware issue but Software Driver issue.

Yes I agree. But my sound card is quite old - latest driver seems to be from 2008 - and it is currently using the generic MS driver.
