Testing installation?

Post by Pablo »

Hi, How do we test our translation of the MM installation?

Thanks!

There's no way for this, translation has to be included by us in the installer (which we will do for all the widely used languages). So please check those about 15 installer strings and send the translation to us, it will be included in the next release.

P.S.: You can also check http://www.jrsoftware.org/files/istrans/ for translation of the whole Inno Setup installer (not just MM specific strings), for many languages there exist more versions, so you can recommend which one looks best to you (its version number should be >= 4.1.4).

Thanks for the reply. There are several Spanish translations of v. 4.1.4 available.

On a related note, are you thinking of translating the web page where you can buy the Gold version? From a practical point of view, translating the setup and buying procedures is as important as the program itself (maybe not for those users who prefer their native language but know some english... but many potential useres don't know any english at all).

Regards,

Pablo

Or sell it thru other channels, channels that include foreign language sites/stores.

Localized purchase pages

Makes sense. Once a few localized versions are done, we can update the buy MM pages with localized versions.
