Skin "template"?

Hi guys,
I've started making the design for a new skin, but this is my first time skinning an app, and I'm no MM power user, so I'm a bit unsure of what elements can/need to be skinned.

Right now I'm just working from a screenshot of my MM setup, and figure I'll eventually have to explore all dialog windows and hidden panels, but i'm wondering if anyone has/is willing to share one of the files they've used for designing a skin to use as a template and make sure I'm skinning everything I should...

any help will be appreciated!

Hi Kemie

and welcome on board!!!

I'm not sure what you're asking for?? But check out the MM wiki, maybe there's something for you in there.

If you want to check out the image files for a skin, the download the mszn file for it. Open it with winzip/winrar. You'll find a file named theme.mskn. Open the file with the themeeditor (download link in the wiki) and click on File/Export bitmaps.

Again, all of this is explained very well in the wiki.

Good luck,

hi magicalpig
thanks for the answer. looking at the graphics files for a skin will definitely be useful, and will give me an idea of what's needed- i hope! :)
