Greetings

Ok, here is a overwork Eclipse version ,
i change many things /images and try to give the skin a more modern design, and make it MM4 compatible,
there are just a few things that i keep from the original Eclipse skin , so i start a new topic ,
i hope it's ok

Note / News / Fixes:

main changes:
disable Aero Frame
overwork iconset (based on the Mellon icons)
new players layout ( thanks to Pman for Floatplayer suggestions and inspiration for the new PL button )
concept / introduction new Tab style
new ScrollBars
new Headers style
ViedeoPlayer
new monkey icon with special actions (check it out!)

limitations:
MM4 comes with many Black skin bugfixes ,
but to sad there are still some few left like,
black (not skinable Fontcolor)Font in ART and Details window
and some few others not skinable elements like, Separators ,different Arrows,...

To disable the Areo frame i use the:
"[System]
ForceDisableAero=0 " option in the settings.ini it works ,but it's still a bit tricky !

First impression is very good!

Great work DreadM, Eclipse just gets better and better! I think the contrast of the buttons are really nice and everything really looks gorgeous. In fact i dont need to wear my glasses and i can still see the contrast

How on earth you’ve disabled Aero, added a cool looking Monkey button that opens a new file/change player and those cleverly hidden stop/previous/forward buttons just amazes me!

After a little bit of testing, I noticed that W7 Snap doesn’t work (but that’s expected), typing something in the search box causes a StackError that crashes MM, in miniplayer the NoAA image looks weird (colours have gone opposite as in polar inversion), also in miniplayer there’s a strange black rectangle box under the player if you overlap it on to the now playing box and lastly for some reason miniplayer acts like a magnet sometimes against Now Playing but that maybe a Monkey issue.

Only one thing I don’t like is the colour for track selection (it’s a tad bit purple) but the colour for the partial track selection (non-highlighted) looks really nice.

Again though, great job in 3.0!

It's a new MM4 feature special made for dark / black skins to match better the theme ,Aero frame don't look nice on Dark skins,

I'm not sure but i think it works similar like you run the monkey in XP mod!
but i think it's not well tested because it's new,and need some more work ,

I know this is going to sound incredibly selfish, and I'm not a skinner or very creative, but all the skinners are open to suggestions.

One of the things I dislike about some skins is when Artist, Album, and Title are on the same line. Then when all of these are too long the scrolling begins (or you shut that function off). I like all three on separate lines, or at the very least two lines, as I don't use MR or SI that often.

Worst case I try to modify the player .ini, but wanted to see if you have any thoughts, DreadM. See you in a few weeks.

I tried to install the Eclipse skin for MonkeyRok, but I got an error message that the Eclipse skin for MR 5 was not installed.
Does the MonkeyRok skin need to be updated for MediaMonkey 4?

I used the Eclipse for MonkeyRok v5.3 installer.

Even when I select the Eclipse skin for Lyrics Viewer, I get error messages.
And I think that one came preinstalled.

Lyrics Viewer Eclipse skin is working now after a MM 4 restart, but not the MonkeyRok skin.

How can I remove this skin out of my MM? I can't find it in the skins folder in program files.

Go to Tools > Extensions and uninstall.

For anyone wanting to install the MonkeyRok v5.3 Eclipse skin in MM4, the installer fails because the "images" folder is outside of the "Eclipse folder".
But you can install it manually.

Just extract the contents of MR Eclipse v 5,3.mmip, then move the "images" folder into the "Eclipse" folder, then cope the "Eclipse" folder to:
C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\MediaMonkey\Scripts\MonkeyRok\skins

The same thing works for the tabbed version of the MonkeyRok Eclipse skin.


Note: The included Eclipse Lyrics Viewer skin is a little buggy. But if you restart MM4 after selecting it, the errors seem to disappear.
